The REU students demonstrating their ongoing research to the high school students who were on summer camp on July 7 & 8, 2026
Weekly Presentations on their individual research projects
Brendon demonstrating his discrete-event simulation project, which evaluates manufacturing processes and potential operational improvements using Simio software.
Zaynab working on her research through VR headsets, developing a human-centered digital twin that connects a physical manufacturing system with a real-time virtual model to track processes and support user interaction.
Martin presenting his work on robotics simulation using machine learning, where robots learn tasks through simulation using perception and reinforcement learning techniques
Seth describing his work on virtual reality driving simulation of downtown Louisville using Unity, integrating real-world mapping and collaborative interaction.
Rosie presenting her work on developing an augmented reality system that overlays step-by-step instructions onto physical components to improve precision and effectiveness in assembly tasks.
Sudhir explaining Twin Forge, a digital twin–driven framework for generating physics-aware synthetic data for manufacturing vision systems
Wednesday Seminars/professional development workshops
